Easy overland to Iguazú and Iberá rainforests, marshes, palm groves, amazing wildlife, spectacular waterfalls, Jessuit Mission ruins.

Day 1 - Iguazú

Reception at Puerto Iguazú airport and transfer to Hotel International, by the falls, for 2 nights. The Iguazú National Park is the biologically richest area in the country. Afternoon spent, exploring on foot and on boat, the Argentine side of this World Heritage Site, considered by many the most espectacular waterfalls on Earth. Two hundred streams appear from the rain forest, belonging to the Amazon domain, forming a myriad of gorgeous falls of all sizes blending graciously with the surrounding vegetation.

Day 2 - Iguazú

Morning visit to the Brazilian side to enjoy the panoramic view of the falls and the rain forest.

Day 3 - Iguazú / Jesuit Mission / Iberá Marshes

Drive southbound to the imposing ruins of the VXII Century San Ignacio Mini Jesuit Mission. Continue driving, northwest bound through Posadas, to reach Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, close to the Iberá Marshlands in Corrientes Province. Double the size of the Everglades in Florida, these until recently inaccessible marshes have protected a wide range of wildlife and are considered one of the most spectacular natural regions of South America, having been covered but National Geographic and BBC. Accommodation in an exclusive and comfortable Inn for 3 nights. Full Board.

Day 4 - Iberá Marshes

Two full days exploring this fascinating region, its ponds, marshes, aquatic vegetation islands, woods, by day and night, on foot, on boats poled by "gauchos" (local cowboys), on horse (optional at no additional cost) and game drives. Should expect to find capybaras (largest rodent on Earth, up to 80 kg!), caymans, marsh deer, howler and carayá monkeys, aquatic turtles, abundant and varied water fowls (jabiru storks, southern screamers, jacanas, rheas, etc.), butterflies, wild flowers, birds, etc. Full Board.

Day 5 - Iberá / Buenos Aires

Transfer to Posadas airport to fly out.
